Benjamin & Bertha Kauenhofen

It has been now 11 months since we left Canada. We have been gone for a long time from the place that we called home for a long time, but it has been good to be here because we're not here for just a way out or to be gone from Aylmer. God has been very good to us in many ways, or I should say in all the ways. He has shown us many things, but also he is trying to teach us patience in all of this. We come from a place where the expectations are that you get one thing done in one day or less, but out here it's totally different. It's when you start one thing you never know when you will see progress. That is one of the hardest things for me and for Bertha.
 

We are doing some home visits during the days and evenings, and I also help out in the Villa Nueva church with preaching. We also minister to people that are not in the colonies anymore.
 

The work that we do in the Belice Colony takes a lot of patience, but the great thing is that there's quite a few homes that we can go to and talk. We can talk to them about the very basics of Christian life, but that is a good thing that we see there are people searching for a better life than what they have at this moment. It will take a long time for them to get to the point where they are going to feel comfortable to make that move, but until then we will minister to them in a way that we can. We had a place in the colony that we were able to use until today, until the owner sold the property. We moved all our stuff out to a different location that MEM rented in Tres Cruzes, so we'll see how the mission will move forward from the new location. We see a possibility to reach the young people better this way, so we'll have to wait and see how that all goes from here.
 

We have one more week here in Bolivia, and then we'll come to Canada for 3 weeks to visit our children, family, and home church. We are looking forward to seeing all of you guys.  We are doing great out here, but we're also looking forward to coming to Canada for a bit.
